Access Control — common questions
Biometrics or cards — which is better?
Biometrics avoids borrowed or lost cards and suits attendance recording better. Cards are faster in high-traffic areas and work better in dusty environments or where staff wear gloves. In many cases we use both together.
What happens during a power cut?
Installations include backup power, and the emergency exit is always guaranteed by a mechanical button or panic bar, as fire safety requires.
Can I see who came in and when?
Yes. The system keeps an access history per user and per door, with exportable reports.
Can it be used for staff time and attendance?
It can. We configure the attendance reports and help export them in the format your accounts team uses.
Can access be restricted by time of day?
It can. We define profiles with authorised hours and days — for example, allowing warehouse entry only during working hours.
Does it integrate with CCTV?
Yes. Integration links each access event to the camera image from that moment, which is useful in internal investigations.
